Essential for first year student midwives. January 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A really clear and easy to understand anatomy book for student midwives. I think that you will outgrow it when you get into the second year, although it will be a book you can dip into for revision. Good value for money and got me through first year anatomy and physiology with ease.
ESSENTIAL ANATOMYAND PHYSIOLOGY IN MATERNITY CARE. February 28, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I brought this book when i started my midwifery course.it was recommended to me by the university. I found this book helpful for certain aspects of midwifery. It has information on pelvice floor, pelvis etc. This book has limited information on anatomy and physiology. I would recommend you by Dot stables book on physiology in child bearing it covers a wide range of areas that are essential for exams, essays etc.
Brilliant tool for Students and Midwives December 14, 2003 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
What a fantastic book!!! As a first year student I am finding the language used in this book at a level that i can understand (a bit simpler than 'coad'). If you only what to buy one book then this is your one.
An excellent basic text for midwifery students. May 21, 2001 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
Since finding this book I have encouraged student midwives to use it as a basic anatomy and physiology text. It is written in fairly simple language so that students with a limited biological background can understand the principles of anatomy and physiology. Unlike many anatomy and physiology books, it also refers to the changes in the body during pregnancy, labour and the postnatal period. I would also recommend this book to qualified midwives as a revision tool.
