As a student midwife I found this an easy to dip into book with clear chapters to locate material. Literature content I felt is to brief, with reference to the BNF it chapters appear to be synopsis of this. Personally I felt it gave me no further information that can be found in the BNF. However for those who prefer a handysized reference or those who find using the BNF too small print this could be an alternative for students early in their training, however for degree level studies it gives a basic overview which I found limiting, I would stick with the BNF personally.
