5 out of 5 stars Tought provoking, all midwives should read this book   February 22, 2002

Thought provoking book, that all midwives should read, so that they can look at their own behaviour and attitudes with colleagues and women alike. Some people may not realise they are actually a bully until they read this book and recognise some of attitudes in it.

5 out of 5 stars Thought provoking. A must for all nurses and midwives.   March 28, 2001

As a member of the profession referred to in this book, I found it almost frighteningly relevant to the experiences of myself and colleagues. Behaviour tolerated for years, now exposed as being unacceptable. The authors describe clearly what is meant by the term bullying as many people are unaware that this in fact what they are experiencing. Crucially, very clear advice about how bullying cultures can be changed for the better is imparted. All NHS staff should read this book. It would be relevant for other businesses too.
