I have used this book since it was originally published in 1994.

It is easy to read and provides comprehensive information on the theory of health promotion, issues for practice, assessment and places for implemention.

I am now studying MSc Health Promotion and still use this book for reference. I would recommend it for students studying Health Promotion Diploma modules, Community Health District Nursing or Health Visiting Degrees and for student nurses.

The book covers in depth but also in a very practical way theories of health promotion and their relationship to practice. It is comprehensive and offers very useful explantions of the models. Dont do health promotion without it.
