I can't rave enough about Victoria Thompson's "Gaslight Mystery" series -a fantastic read with all the best elements of an Anne Perry novel but set in Victorian New York. I started reading these novels whilst staying in Greenwich Village and it was a joy to follow her impeccable geographical references around the city. The story is cracking to - great characters; tension filled love story and fab mystery that kept me guessing! Read the rest in the series
