5 out of 5 stars A truly wonderful book   November 13, 2003

Harry Potter was orphaned as a baby, and left to be raised by his cruel aunt and uncle. Upon reaching the age of eleven he learns what makes him so grotesque in his relations’ eyes, he is a wizard. He is accepted at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he goes to learn how to be a proper wizard. A new world opens up in front of Harry; Hogwarts is a truly wonder-filled place. However, there is something wicked going on at Hogwarts, and it is aimed right at Harry!

This is a truly wonderful book. I must admit that I waited to read this book, believing that the acclaim it was receiving was probably overblown. Boy, was I wrong! The story is excellently written, being both highly entertaining and suspenseful. I loved Hogwarts, and look forward to seeing it when the upcoming movie is released.

This book is a great read, suitable for both younger and more advanced readers. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

5 out of 5 stars Sorcerer's Stone the book which I cannot leave   March 20, 2001
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Harry Potter the Sorcerer's Stone is a book which turned into a habit. This book was so amazing that before I got the other books of Harry Potter I read it for five times. The thing that made this book so special is that this book is completly a new kind . I read a lot of books but I never saw a one like this. After I read it I was looking for a bad side of this book but I couldn't find one because I had nothing to compare it to. When I was telling my mom about this she asked me what was this special about a fairy tale.I told her she has to read it for herself. I mean that this book was a saver for me because I was bored of ordinary books. Everytime I get bored I read a part and have my joy back again.I recommend this book to everyone and to all ages.

5 out of 5 stars Best magic book I ever read   March 20, 2001

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was one of the best boks I've ever read. The book includes magic, adventure and mystery. Once you start to read you can't put the book down. J. K. Rowling's imagination makes you think what would be the next book like. I have finished the four books of harry potter and I'm dying to read the next book. I advise you to start now. When I first started this book I thought it was a boring magic book but I continued to read it because I was bored and as I finished the second chapter I couldn't put it down. I re-read it again and again and I still do so you should start reading now.
