Quarter vellum and green cloth with Stradivari crest in red and gilt stamped on upper cover, T.E.G. others deckled, marbled endpapers. Interior still bright, text illusrations and colour plates. Slightly bent, hinges cracked and slight shaking. Unfortunately has been damp at some time so some cockling, mainly at head and foredge, with a little more at ends; and some plucking on the title page (small loss at foot) preface and contents (3?) words lost but interpretable), gift inscription, all accounting for the low price for an otherwise excellent reference copy.
