This book is excellent.Aimed at midwives working at home and within birth centers, this book provides a clear, robust guide to managing crises when there's no emergency bell to pull! Within each chapter there is a commentary from an obstetrican and supervisor of midwives, providing sound guidance and a multidisiplinary feel. I found the chapter on managing eclampsia in the community particlualry helpful, with simple yet insightful advice such as sirens and lights in an ambulance may precipitate further convulsions. A must read.
