For a mentorship course March 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I found it this book a bit too much on lifelong learning, adult education and teaching method & plan, like preparation for a big classroom teaching situation. If you want to focus on teaching one to one per-reg student or newly qualified stuff nurse, I would highly recommended that buy 'Teaching& Assessing in Nursing Practice by Peter Nicklin'.
Useful for anyone undertaking a mentorship course... October 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this book as part of my pre reg training, and then bought it for my post grad mentorship course. It is very helpful. The content is clearly set out, each chapter has it's own refference list and follow up reading. If you were to just buy one book on nurse education, this should be it. It is a cornerstone book which you will be able to reffer to again and again.
An Essential Text for Students of the ENB998 or C&G 703 December 13, 2002 33 out of 35 found this review helpful
An Essential Text for Students of the ENB998 or C&G 703; this book should also be very high on the list of anyone who has an interest in post registration nurse education. It covers all of the main areas, with a focus on assessment and lifelong learning. It is easy to read and understand and application to practice is realistic and achievable.
