I cannot recommend this book enough. The book give clear concise information and cites relevant research. Although some of the research could be view as 'old' it is still pertinent. The addition of leaflets which can be taken out on placement is an added bonus. I referred to these many times in my 1st year of training and found their checklists extremely helpful.

5 out of 5 stars Really useful book.   January 23, 2007

There are very few books on postnatal care, as in real life where it sadly seems to be the 'poor relation' of maternity services.
This book is clear and detailed on postnatal care and common problems encountered. The use of removeable cards which sum up the main points is very good. I recommend it as a useful resource.
