2. I chose this book because I had read other Farthing Wood books and I enjoyed them very much. 3. The main characters are a young fox called Plucky ,a hare who thinks she is faster than a car, an old owl and an even older badger. There is a male snake called Adder who has a fiancee Sinuous, an old heron called Whistler, a toad called Toad, a weasel called Weasel, and Fox and Vixen are the group leaders. Foul rats are the enemy which invade the park.

The animals were fine in the nature reserve until heavy rain in the town which caused rats to flood into the enclosure. To make the situation even worse the game keeper is working on a new enclosure and dose not know a thing about the rat attack. The story goes on to describe the struggle to see who of the animals can win the reserve.

4. I have got two favourite parts ,the first one is when Adder sinks his fangs into a rat and hisses Sinuoussssss. The second one is when vixen gets Bully the leader of the rats and cruses him in her jaws. 5.I recommend this book to someone who likes animal books.
